Holiday Home Ter Luyghem attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and to transparent communication about how we process that data. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, how long we retain it and what rights you have as a data subject.

Contact form: name, zip code, email address, telephone number (optional) and the content of your message.
Reservation form: check-in and check-out dates, name and contact details of the main booker, any correspondence related to the reservation.
Technical data (log files): IP address, browser type and pages visited — solely for technical management and security, not linked to your identity.

Responding to questions via the contact form — legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Management and execution of reservations and rental agreements — legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Legal obligations such as VAT and accounting — legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
Website improvement and technical security — legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Analytical or functional cookies (if applicable) — legal basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).
Your data are never used for automated decision-making or profiling, and are never sold to third parties.

Contact messages: maximum 12 months after the last contact, unless the communication results in a reservation.
Reservation data: 7 years after the stay, in accordance with the legal accounting obligation.
Technical log files: maximum 12 months.

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit our website.

Strictly necessary (WordPress session cookies): basic functionality and login management — no consent required.
Functional (reservation widget): remembering your selections in the booking form — no consent required.
Analytical (e.g., Google Analytics): anonymous tracking of website traffic, max. 13 months — consent required via the cookie banner.
Social media (Instagram and Facebook buttons): display and sharing of content — consent required via the cookie banner.

You can adjust your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie banner or via your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).

Your data is never sold. We may share it with:

Technical processors: our hosting provider and the reservation platform, acting exclusively as processors on behalf of Pasybo BV and bound by a processing agreement.
Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram): when you click on a social media button, data are passed to the relevant platform. We recommend consulting the privacy policy of those platforms.
Judicial or supervisory authorities: only when we are legally required to do so.

Data is only transferred outside the EU where appropriate safeguards apply (e.g. EU adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

Right of access — request what data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — have incorrect or incomplete data corrected.
Right to erasure — in certain cases, have your data deleted.
Right to restriction — have the processing temporarily suspended.
Right to data portability — receive your data in a readable format.
Right to object — object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
Right to withdraw consent — if the processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). Access to personal data is restricted to those for whom it is strictly necessary.
